EAMBES today represents 24 national and 5 transnational scientific societies, as well as 26 academic and research institutions; through its member organisations, approximately 8000 European experts in the domain of Medical and Biological Engineering and Science (MBES).

Membership categories and fees

Currently the two EAMBES membership categories are: 

 Division of Societies:

The members of this division are national and transnational scientific societies focused on MBES or sub-domains such as artificial organs, biomechanics, biomaterials, etc.  These members pay an annual fee that is proportional to the number of their members in good standing: for each member a society is expected to pay €2.00 per year.

 Division of Academic Programmes or Institutions and Research Institutes:

The members of this division are Academic Programmes or Institutions and Research Institutes that have activities in education and/or training and research within areas relevant to the activities or interests of EAMBES. Academic Programmes or Institutions and Research Institutes pay a fee of €200.00 per year.
