"We have the great pleasure and honour of inviting your organisation to become a member of the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering and Science (EAMBES).

As you may know, EAMBES was inaugurated in Frankfurt/Main, June 14-15, 2003 bringing to close the process that started at the 1stEMBEC conference in Vienna in December of 1999. The delegates to the inauguration meeting approved the statutes of this organisation and elected an interim Council and Executive Board to run its affairs as well as the interim Officers of its two Divisions (for Societies and for Academic Programs).

The statutes as well as the list of elected officers and representatives and the minutes of the Frankfurt meeting can be downloaded from our website: www.eambes.org

Membership in EAMBES is available through Divisions. For the present, two Divisions have been established: one for national and trans-European societies and one for academic programs and research institutes. The eligibility criteria in both membership categories are explained in the EAMBES statutes. The process involved in applying for membership is the following:

  1. Complete the membership application form on our website (http://www.eambes.org),
  2.
  3. Print the completed form (as a PDF file)
  4. Sign it on behalf of your organisation and
  5. Mail it to:
